extra features that include filmmaker interviews, a behind-the-scenes
photo montage, and a full-length commentary track. They also
offer the film on VHS.

AND ROSE TAKES JURY AWARD AT OJAI

The Book
and the Rose has been awarded Best Short Narrative at the Ojai
Film Festival. Jury awards were announced at the festival's
wrap-up gala awards brunch on Sunday, October 27th. The brunch
honored Academy Award winning Cinematographer Conrad Hall, who
was in attendance.

AND ROSE HONORED TWICE AT MARCO ISLAND
October

The Book
and the Rose received the Audience Choice Award for Best Short
Drama, as well as the Best First Short award at the Marco
Island International Film Festival this past weekend.
Rod Steiger, Kevin Pollak, and Jane Seymour were among the festival's
honorees.

The
Book and the Rose was honored with back to back awards at two
southern California festivals, receiving the Audience Choice
Award for best short film at the Temecula
Valley Film Festival, and the Best Short Film award
at the Long
Beach International Film Festival.

THE
BOOK & THE ROSE IN PALM SPRINGS, CA
The
Book and the Rose was featured at the eighth annual Palm
Springs International Festival of Short Films, where
it placed ninth in the Audience Choice Awards out of 200 films
(coming in right behind the 2001 short film Oscar winner). The
Palm Springs International Festival of Short Films is the highest
profile competitive short film festival in North America, and
reported more than 1,400 short film entries in 2002.

SHOWCASED IN CABOURG, FRANCE
The Book and the Rose was honored as the only American short
film included in the prestigious Cabourg
Festival of Romantic Film in Cabourg,
France. Star Chris Kennedy and Executive Producers Lowell
and Judith Beineke represented the film in person, enjoying
the festival's black-tie soirees and red-carpet screenings.

INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
The
Book and the Rose took home TWO awards from the Filmstock
Film Festival, held outside of London, UK, winning the
Audience Award, and the Filmstock Visualisation Award for best
cinematic vision.
